The other aspect of the program that is important to me as a parent is the constructive emphasis on building character..."After almost 2 years my 11 year old daughter has continued to maintain her enthusiasm and commitment to Pro Martial Arts by Grandmaster Samane Tang Soo Do classes. It has been amazing to see how much my daughter has learned and how determined she is to get her black belt. I am impressed as to how the program is structured to really encourage the children to participate in a highly organized group while at the same time getting individualized attention on what they specifically need to work on. In my opinion the incentives for the children to learn (stripes on belts and the criteria for graduating to the different belt levels) are intelligently set up to be progressively more challenging but not overwhelming.
The other aspect of the program that is important to me as a parent is the constructive emphasis on building character that complements learning of the various Tang Soo Do forms. I am a Ph.D. psychologist who often works with children and I feel strongly that Grandmaster Samane and his staff have really created a healthy environment where good things are happening.

My son has benefited tremendously in the PMA Leadership Program"When my son was 7 1/2 he wanted to learn karate. He did the free trial at the Exton school and then decided to join. A few months after joining the Frazer Pro Martial Arts by Grandmaster Samane, Master Samane sent a letter to our home inviting him to join VIP. He joined VIP because he wanted to train more.
Since entering the VIP Leadership program my son has become more respectful. He regularly answers adults with "yes/no, ma'am" or "yes/no sir". He has shown more self-discipline and more self-control. I get compliments from other adults about my son's behavior. At daycare, a teacher told me he played with smaller children when they were waiting for their parents to pick them up.
She was so impressed with his gentleness and leadership. He will now stay away from other kids who are not behaving at the risk of being ostracized. In addition to self-control and sociological benefits, attending karate classed 3 to 4 times per week has increased his muscular tone; he has better balance and is more physically fit.
